Notice Date: November 23, 2011 On Nov 16, 2011, BEZA Systems Integrity & Security (SiS) team learned of a zero-day vulnerability with BIND, a 3rd party software, that runs domain name resolution (ie DNS lookups). BIND is utilized by a vast majority of organizations across the Internet who began to report crashes interrupting service on BIND name servers. (source: ISC Security Vulnerability) On Nov 21, 2011, ISC released a patch update which BEZA engineers have been testing since. Due to the severity of this vulnerability which is currently being actively utilized by malicious users on the Internet, we have scheduled an emergency one hour maintenance window on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 from 22:45 to 23:45 EST (GMT - 5:00).
